My purpose was not to accuse individuals or advocate for a particular political outcome, but to invite consideration of a constitutional question that has occupied my thinking for many years:
What happens when the balance among the three branches of government appears to drift away from the design established by the Constitution?
Drawing upon more than fifty years of legal experience, I offer my observations concerning congressional oversight, judicial power, public trust, and the relationship between constitutional institutions and the People they were created to serve.
I present these observations as witness rather than final judgment, inviting readers to conduct their own inquiry and discernment.

Witness Statement of Scott Erik Stafne Good morning. My name is Scott Erik Stafne. I am a 77-year-old American citizen, a Christian, and for fifty years I operated as a third generation lawyer inside the machine of American law.
The Constitution begins with three simple words: "We the People"—not the government, Congress, or the courts. No branch of government can expand its own power by its own will without committing what Chief Justice John Marshall defined as institutional treason against the Constitution. Our constitutional balance has failed because Congress has abdicated its oversight functions. In that vacuum, automated systems have constructed sterile procedural "boxes" to insulate government power from the People the government is supposed to serve.
This week in Trump v. Cook, the Supreme Court bypassed threshold jurisdictional rules to shield a Federal Reserve governor from being summarily fired by the President because of alleged financial fraud.
Yet daily, inferior courts routinely deploy rigid procedural defaults to choke out the evidence vulnerable homeowners and family members seek to present in their cases, systematically denying these ordinary People their right to be heard.
When the law grants complex protections to elites while enforcing automated procedures against ordinary citizens presenting their evidence, the system appears to and does abandon justice based fact finding.
Like Bastian in The NeverEnding Story, you and I are no longer just passive observers of a historical text; our presence here means we have chosen to become a part of that same history which has demanded throughout time that courts provide remedies for wrongs, including the wrongs imposed by courts.
This Grand Jury should consider citizens' complaints against the courts of this Nation openly, honestly, and with deep humility because justice still matters to the People of this Nation and the Peoples of this world.

July 1 we finish the public journey. In God's Time.
There comes a moment when you realize the assignment was never yours to control, only to complete.
For years, my life became public because the work demanded it. It wasn't about attention, or being liked. It was about finishing the process, delivering the evidence, persistence, and refusing to quit when quitting would have been easier. It has been about the remedy for the people.
Tomorrow, July 1, closes that public chapter.
Not because I was defeated, quite the opposite, it's because I'm walking away from the public, not what's left to do. Walking away smiling for the people finishing this part of the process. It's because God's timing is always perfect, and this chapter is complete. (You do not want to miss tomorrow's event!)
I have lived through things I never imagined. There were days I wondered if I would survive them. 3 strokes and severe health issues from all the stress, swat teams and complete failure of the system I once trusted to protect my family. Yet every step, every delay, every victory, and every heartbreak happened exactly when it was supposed to.

To those who stood beside me through my gruff moments, my exhaustion, my determination, and my relentless pursuit of truth, "thank you". You saw my heart even when my words were sharp, sometimes downright rude. You know who you are, and I will never forget you.
Everyone matters. But my heart has a list.
Beginning July 2, my social media space becomes very small, reserved for the people I actually know, love, trust, and hold close. That doesn't mean others don't matter, everyone matters, they do it now is about living and my kids full-time and only those I chose to share my time, not take it.
This means this next season belongs to those who truly walked the road with me, who my soul connected with.
My life is no longer meant to be lived in the public square. It has been a tough road helping strangers, a few have become part of my heart, friends like family.
To every person who prayed, encouraged, challenged, supported, questioned, learned, stood, and stayed, thank you.
