Acts 16:25-40
25 Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 And suddenly there was such a great earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains were loosed.
27 The jailer woke up, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, thinking the prisoners had escaped.
28 But Paul shouted with a loud voice, saying: Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.
29 Then, asking for light, he rushed in and, trembling, fell down before Paul and Silas.
30 And bringing them out, he said: Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.
32 And they preached the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
33 And he took them that same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.
34 Then he brought them into his house and set a meal before them; and he rejoiced with all his household because he had come to believe in God.
35 When it was day, the magistrates sent officers, saying: Release those men.
36 The jailer told Paul: The magistrates have ordered that you be released; now therefore, go out and go in peace.
37 But Paul said to them: They beat us publicly, uncondemned, being Roman citizens, and threw us into prison, and now they want to send us away secretly? No; let them come themselves and escort us out.
38 The officers reported these words to the magistrates; and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans.
39 Then they came and pleaded with them, and when they brought them out, they asked them to leave the city.
40 And after leaving the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, and seeing the brothers, they encouraged them, and then departed.

Atos 16:25-40
25 Perto da meia-noite, Paulo e Silas estavam orando e cantando hinos a Deus, e os outros presos os escutavam.
26 E, de repente, sobreveio um tão grande terremoto que os alicerces da prisão foram abalados, e imediatamente todas as portas se abriram, e as correntes de todos se soltaram.
27 O carcereiro acordou e, vendo abertas as portas da prisão, puxou da espada e estava prestes a matar-se, supondo que os presos tivessem fugido.
28 Mas Paulo gritou em alta voz, dizendo: Não te faças nenhum mal, porque todos estamos aqui.
29 Então ele pediu luz, correu para dentro e, trêmulo, prostrou-se diante de Paulo e Silas.
30 E, tirando-os para fora, disse: Senhores, que devo fazer para ser salvo?
31 E eles responderam: Crê no Senhor Jesus Cristo, e serás salvo, tu e a tua casa.
32 E pregaram a palavra do Senhor a ele e a todos os que estavam em sua casa.
33 E naquela mesma hora da noite ele os tomou consigo e lavou-lhes as feridas; e imediatamente foi batizado, ele e todos os seus.
34 Então, levando-os para sua casa, pôs-lhes a mesa; e, com todos os seus, alegrou-se muito por haver crido em Deus.
35 Quando amanheceu, os magistrados enviaram oficiais, dizendo: Soltai aqueles homens.
36 O carcereiro anunciou isso a Paulo: Os magistrados mandaram soltar vocês; agora, portanto, saí e ide em paz.
37 Mas Paulo lhes disse: Açoitaram-nos publicamente, sem sermos condenados, sendo cidadãos romanos, e nos lançaram na prisão; e agora querem expulsar-nos às escondidas? De modo nenhum; venham eles mesmos e tirem-nos para fora.
38 Os oficiais relataram essas palavras aos magistrados; e eles temeram ao saber que eram romanos.
39 Então vieram, suplicaram-lhes, e, tirando-os para fora, pediram que deixassem a cidade.
40 E, saindo da prisão, foram à casa de Lídia; e, vendo os irmãos, os confortaram e depois partiram.
