Our Daily Bread — Emmanuel
41
In the Future
“And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord; for all shall know me, from the least of them unto the greatest.” — Paul. (HEBREWS, 8:11)
1 When man engraves upon his own soul the luminous paragraphs of the Divine Law,
2 The companion will not rebuke the companion, the brother will not denounce another brother.
3 The prison will close its doors, the courts will fall silent.
4 Cannons will be converted into plows, men of war will return to the sowing of the soil.
5 Hatred will be expelled from the world, bayonets will rest.
6 Machines will not vomit flames for fire and death, but will peacefully take care of planetary progress.
7 Justice will be surpassed by love.
8 The children of faith will not only be just, but good — deeply good.
9 Prayer will become joy and praise, and the houses of worship will be consecrated to the sublime labor of supreme fraternity.
10 The preaching of the Law will live in the acts and thoughts of all, because the Lamb of God will have transformed the heart of each man into a tabernacle of eternal light, in which His Divine Kingdom will shine forever.
Emmanuel
Se quiser, posso agora:
• Revisar para um inglês mais natural, porém mantendo fidelidade
• Adaptar para estilo poético mais elevado
• Colocar em forma de leitura em voz alta (ritmo, pontuação, ressonância)
