Love, Faith, and Eternal Lessons:
Jesus, Allan Kardec, Joanna de Ângelis, and Bertrand Russell
On this All Souls’ Day,
On this All Souls’ Day, when longing torments our hearts, we remind everyone that DEATH DOES NOT EXIST.
OUR BELOVED ONES LIVE THE TRUE LIFE AND ACCOMPANY US WITH EYES FULL OF LOVE AND LONGING.
We remind you that REINCARNATION is a scientifically proven fact and that JESUS OVERCAME DEATH TO SHOW US THAT WE ARE ETERNAL, IMMORTAL SPIRITS.
Let us pray with love, gratitude, and longing, but without distress, with the certainty that LIFE CONTINUES, and that new meetings and reunions with our beloved ones are still to come.
Peace and Light to all!
Jesus Christ – The Greatest Commandment / Allan Kardec – The Gospel According to Spiritism
"Love God and your neighbor as yourself." — Jesus Christ
At the Last Supper,
Jesus said to His disciples: "In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, you may be also." John 14:2-3
- The context: This statement occurs during the Last Supper, when Jesus is consoling His disciples before His crucifixion.
- The main message: Jesus is assuring them that there is a prepared place for them in heaven and that He will return to take them to Himself.
- The continuation: In the same chapter (John 14:6), Jesus declares to Thomas, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

The Immortality of the Soul
The idea of the immortality of the soul is based on the principle of evolution, the law of progress.
According to this principle, all divine creatures, both animate and inanimate, are subject to progress by the will of God. Thus, death is only the process by which the spirit disincarnates and moves to a new stage of its existence.
It may return to Earth through reincarnation if it still needs to undergo trials and expiations as part of its learning process, or it may live in a more evolved world until it reaches angelic perfection.
Allan Kardec states in Posthumous Works that the communicability of spirits is one of the evidences that the soul survives the death of the body. Another proof would be apparitions, that is, the visual manifestations of spirits.
Spiritism also relies on moral questions to defend the belief in the immortality of the soul.
This belief serves as consolation, a reason for spiritual balance, hope, and faith. It is used as a counterpoint to the idea of suicide, for example.
Indeed, those who do not believe in the immortality of the soul may even consider the idea of shortening suffering through suicide as coherent, since nothingness would be preferable to apparently unbearable suffering.

The Existence of God | Reasoned Faith | Reincarnation | Communicability of Spirits | Moral Laws
In The Gospel According to Spiritism, the immortality of the soul is presented as a fundamental pillar of the doctrine, based on the idea that the soul (the spirit) survives physical death.
- Survival of the being: The death of the body is not the end of life but the liberation of the spirit, which continues its journey in other spheres of existence.
- Continuous evolution: Immortality ensures that the soul is in a constant process of evolution and learning, whether through reincarnation in more evolved worlds or through other spiritual experiences.
- Moral and spiritual foundation: Belief in the immortality of the soul offers hope, consolation, and spiritual balance, serving as a powerful tool against despair and the idea of suicide.
- Based on spiritual manifestations: Spiritist doctrine relies on concrete evidence from manifestations of spirits (through mediums and apparitions) to demonstrate that the soul exists beyond the physical body.

There is No Death
Joanna de Ângelis – Message for All Souls
English Version: Full Message – “There is No Death”
After those you love depart from the carnal circle, you feel as if life has lost its purpose. Hours become empty, while a tearing anguish and a dull despair that drain your energies become constant companions during moments of prolonged agony.
They were by your side as blessings from God, illuminating your world with the light of their presence, and you did not think, did not allow yourself to believe, that they could precede you on the journey of return.
Cessation of the first moments of the impact that reality imposed, you recapitulate the hours of joy while tears flow incessantly, without comforting you, as if the tears carried acid that burns you from the source of feeling to the gate of the eyes, not decreasing the ardor of longing…
The future unfolds dark and threatening, and you wonder how it will be possible to continue without them. Your heart beats shattered, and your moral pain transforms into a physical dagger, revolving the blade that tortures you in the long term. You fear you cannot endure such cruel feeling. Yet you will overcome it.
Your love and longing are just, yes, but not enough to lead you to imbalance, the death of hope, or revolt… The beings you love who have died have not been consumed in the abyss of annihilation. They survived. Life would be a deception if it were destroyed by the disintegrating breath of passing death.
Life manifests, develops in infinite shades and countless expressions. Form changes and structures, aggregates and decomposes, passing from one vibratory expression to another without the energy that vitalizes it depending on the transient circumstances in which it is expressed.
Therefore, those who have transitioned beside you and transferred domicile are not dead in the sense of being destroyed. Those you love continue living. Wait a little while, praying, and let your prayer illuminate your soul and envelop them in the path they follow.
Do not burden yourself mentally with large doses of bitterness or pressing questions, throwing energetic bombs of your unrestrained anguish toward them. Strive to find resignation. Love, when true, overcomes any distance and is a bridge across abysses, shortening paths.
Just as you long to feel them again, to speak to them, to hear them, they also wish the same. Yet they need to evolve as you do. If you cling to them excessively or imprison them in selfishness, wishing to continue a stage now ended, you will not enjoy them, for they will be in the rear.
By freeing them, they will continue with you, preparing your reunion, waiting for you… Make yourself worthy of their trust and anoint yourself with love to enrich other lives with their memories. Think no longer in terms of “goodbye,” but rather “see you later.”
Bertrand Russell : A MESSAGE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS (1959)
– The Intellectual Thing & Moral Wisdom
English Version:
"And if we are to live together and not to die together, we must learn a kind of charity and a kind of tolerance, which is absolutely vital to the continuation of human life on this planet." — Bertrand Russell
In 1959, Bertrand Russell (1872-1970), the Nobel Prize-winning philosopher, mathematician, and peace activist, was just short of his 87th birthday when he gave wide-ranging interviews to the BBC and the CBC.
In this capture, Russell is giving life lessons — lessons about critical thinking, love, and tolerance — to a generation living 1,000 years in the future.
Interviewer: John Freeman.
Excerpt from the video: "Bertrand Russell - Interview ("Face to Face", 1959)"
TRANSCRIPT
INTERVIEWER: One last question: Suppose Lord Russell this film were to be looked at by our descendants, like a Dead Sea scroll in a thousand years time, what would you think it's worth telling that generation about the life you've lived and the lessons you've learned from it?
BERTRAND RUSSELL: I should like to say two things, one intellectual and one moral:
The intellectual thing, I should want to say to them, is this: When you are studying any matter, or considering any philosophy, ask yourself only "what are the facts, and what is the truth that the facts bear out?" Never let yourself be diverted, either by what you wish to believe, or by what you think could have beneficial social effects, if it were believed. But look only and solely at: "What are the facts?" That is the intellectual thing that I should wish to say.
The moral thing I should wish to say to them is very simple. I should say: Love is wise, hatred is foolish.
In this world, which is getting more and more closely interconnected, we have to learn to tolerate each other. We have to learn to put up with the fact, that some people say things that we don't like.
We can only live together in that way.
And if we are to live together and not to die together, we must learn a kind of charity and a kind of tolerance, which is absolutely vital to the continuation of human life on this planet.
“Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.” — Bertrand Russell
Reflection Question / Pergunta para Reflexão
English Version:
And you?
When future generations look at your life today, what will be your legacy?
Remember Jesus Said: "Whatever a man sows, he will reap.
To each according to his works.

Prosseguem vivendo aqueles a quem amas.

Description
Book Information
Meet The Author
The central objective of this book was to try to understand, with the help of semiotic methods, the process of constructing spiritual authorships in the “family” or “consoling” letters written—or psychographed—by the medium Chico Xavier. The author seeks to detect signs of coherence in these authorships over time and to what extent they present marks of autonomy or individuality that allow them to be distinguished from each other.
The analyzed corpus is composed of ten psychographed letters published between 1973 and 1980 and attributed to three authors: Augusto César Netto, Jair Presente, and Laurinho Basile. As a background, the author questions a very common idea among Spiritists who follow Xavier: that the medium’s writing would be so faithful to the style of the spirits he psychographed that one could even recognize the verbal expressions and formats they supposedly used in life.
The study also sought to characterize psychographed letters as a particular type of text, which differs from traditional epistolary texts. For the author, in addition to being configured as a specific editorial genre, psychographed letters are written in such a peculiar way that they transcend the context of Spiritism, sometimes venturing into the realms of literature and memorialism.
