Foco no bem comum:
A humildade nos tira do centro de nossas atenções, permitindo que busquemos a reconciliação e o bem-estar do coletivo, em vez de exigir que o mundo se curve às nossas preferências ou vinganças pessoais (48:31 - 49:57).
Praticar o perdão no dia a dia, segundo a perspectiva de Haroldo Dutra Dias apresentada na palestra, envolve uma mudança de postura diante das relações e das nossas próprias limitações:
Reconheça a condição de "porco-espinho":
Entenda que todos estamos em um mundo de expiação e provas, onde, muitas vezes por inexperiência ou imperfeições (os "espinhos"), acabamos ferindo uns aos outros sem intenção maligna consciente.
Reconhecer que você também fere os outros ajuda a ter mais paciência com quem o fere (51:39 - 52:40, 53:03 - 53:21).
Não julgue com fotos antigas:
O palestrante destaca que muitas vezes guardamos uma "fotografia" negativa de alguém baseada em um erro passado. É preciso lembrar que as pessoas mudam e, muitas vezes, o seu adversário está reagindo a uma versão sua que já não existe mais. Foque no presente e no potencial de mudança do próximo (44:26 - 45:17).
Pratique a reconciliação (caminhar a segunda milha):
Se alguém lhe causa uma dificuldade, em vez de apenas reagir, busque ir além, como ensinou Jesus. Isso significa oferecer algo positivo onde se esperava uma reação negativa, transformando a convivência e quebrando o ciclo de feridas mútuas (43:06 - 44:02).
Aceite a imperfeição:
O perdão é o único mecanismo que permite que pessoas imperfeitas convivam. Entender que o sofrimento vem da nossa falta de progresso moral torna mais fácil perdoar, pois a mágoa deixa de ser o foco e dá lugar ao entendimento pedagógico do aprendizado espiritual (53:24 - 53:51, 55:32 - 55:58).
Como corrigir sem se afastar do bem ?
Segundo a palestra, a correção sem se afastar do bem é possível quando entendemos que a justiça divina é pautada pelo amor e misericórdia (7:04 - 7:07). Para agir dessa forma no dia a dia, é preciso seguir estas diretrizes:
Senso Pedagógico:
Assim como nos mundos ditosos, onde o bem educa e corrige sem abandonar o caminho do bem, a nossa correção deve buscar sempre o aprendizado e aperfeiçoamento da consciência de quem errou, e não a punição ou a vingança (7:14 - 7:26, 8:34 - 8:46).
Superação da Vingança:
Devemos evitar a justiça humana, que muitas vezes se baseia na retaliação. A verdadeira correção acontece quando, em vez de ferir, ajudamos o próximo a compreender o erro, mantendo o foco na regeneração e não na destruição do indivíduo (6:51 - 7:35).
Reconciliação:
A prática da "segunda milha" (43:06 - 44:02) ensina que, mesmo quando alguém nos causa uma dificuldade, a resposta deve ser baseada na bondade e na entrega de bons frutos, permitindo que o adversário experimente uma nova forma de relação (45:17 - 45:35).
Em resumo, corrigir sem se afastar do bem exige substituir o orgulho e a necessidade de controle pela paciência e pelo reconhecimento de que estamos todos em um processo coletivo de evolução (54:11 - 55:58).

Haroldo Dutra Dias has been a judge in Minas Gerais since 2004, with a background in Law, Psychology, and Biomedicine.
He holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in Neurosciences and dedicates himself to research on mental disorders. He is currently pursuing postdoctoral studies at Harvard Medical School.

Jesus is the guide to the heavenly worlds.
But what does this mean for our lives, for the future of the Earth, and for the spiritual path that we are following today?
In this lecture, Haroldo Dutra Dias presents a profound reading of the Sermon on the Mount in the light of Spiritism and shows Jesus’ project for the transformation of humanity.
Starting from the teaching, “In my Father’s house are many mansions,” Haroldo goes through the progression of the worlds presented by Allan Kardec: primitive worlds, worlds of expiation and trials, worlds of regeneration, happy worlds, and heavenly worlds.
But this evolution does not happen only with the planet. It needs to happen within us.
Throughout the lecture, we understand that intelligence, feelings, relationships, and even our way of loving need to be regenerated.
Possessive love needs to be transformed into unconditional love; violence must give way to fraternity; and the justice that we desire needs to come ever closer to divine justice, founded on love, mercy, and the education of the Spirit.
THE PROGRESSION OF THE WORLDS — 0:55–11:15
Haroldo describes the evolutionary journey of souls, passing through primitive worlds, worlds of expiation and trials, worlds of regeneration, blissful or happy worlds, and, finally, the heavenly worlds.
He emphasizes that this evolution must also occur internally, transforming our intelligence and feelings.
THE ROLE OF JESUS — 11:41–17:15
The lecturer argues that Jesus did not found a human religion of exclusion. He acts as the spiritual governor of the planet, working for the redemption of all humanity, without distinction.
According to Haroldo Dutra Dias, Jesus guides humanity toward higher levels of consciousness in several fundamental ways:
Model and Guide
Jesus incarnated on Earth to be the living example of a pure Spirit, showing the path that we must all follow in order to evolve (22:55–23:05; 56:51).
Moral Education
He left us the Sermon on the Mount as a true “constitution” of the heavenly worlds, bringing practical principles such as humility, forgiveness, and reconciliation (23:32–23:46; 25:30–25:54).
Roadmap for Evolution
He acts as a “spiritual GPS.” Although we have free will to choose our paths, the divine laws and the teachings of Jesus constantly recalculate the route to lead us toward goodness, even when we insist on repeating mistakes (40:09–42:37; 57:06–57:46).
Collective Redemption
Jesus’ mission is not to found a religion of exclusion, but to promote the transformation of the entire planet, leading humanity from the condition of expiation and trials to the world of regeneration and, in the future, to the heavenly worlds (16:28–17:15).
THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT AS A ROADMAP
Haroldo presents an especially powerful image: the Sermon on the Mount as a moral declaration of the heavenly worlds, bringing to Earth principles lived by Spirits who have already reached higher levels of evolution.
Humility, reconciliation, forgiveness, and respect for others then cease to be merely beautiful religious recommendations. They become concrete indications of the path that we need to follow.
Jesus is presented as our model and guide, the one who knows the destination and offers us the direction.
THE SPIRITUAL “GPS” — 40:03–42:37; 57:03–58:32
Haroldo Dutra Dias uses the GPS metaphor to explain how spiritual teachings and Jesus’ counsels function as a guide for our evolution.
The GPS “Recalculating”
It represents our stubbornness in following paths contrary to the guidance of spirituality. Even when we receive the correct route, we often insist on making our own choices through free will (40:03–41:00).
The Persistence of the Guide
Just like a modern and precise GPS, Jesus provides us with the ideal route, but the “device”—our consciousness—frequently ignores the directions. This requires spirituality to keep recalculating the route to bring us back to the destination (41:39–42:37).
Individual Responsibility
The lecturer emphasizes that, now that we know the path—the “quantum GPS”—we no longer have excuses for going in the wrong direction, because the final destination, the heavenly worlds, has already been indicated to us (57:46–58:32).
We receive guidance and make choices through free will, but we often follow precisely in the opposite direction. Then spirituality needs to “recalculate the route” once again.
How many times are we repeating the same paths?
How many painful experiences could be transformed if we finally accepted a new direction?
MORAL PRACTICE — 43:06–56:11
The Sermon on the Mount is presented as a roadmap of the laws that govern the heavenly worlds.
Haroldo highlights the necessity of humility, reconciliation—walking the second mile—and forgiveness as essential tools for peaceful coexistence while we evolve in this world of trials.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMILITY
In Spiritism, as presented in Haroldo Dutra Dias’ lecture, humility is fundamental because it is the key to spiritual progress and coexistence in the higher worlds.
Recognition of Our Ignorance
True humility, unlike low self-esteem, is the ability to recognize the extent of our own ignorance before the immensity of the universe and the Creator (24:35–25:00).
Gateway to Higher Worlds
The Sermon on the Mount presents humility as a basic principle of the heavenly worlds. Jesus teaches:

This indicates that humility is the moral condition for inhabiting higher levels of evolution (23:32–23:46).
Overcoming the Ego
Humility helps us realize that, however wise we may be, collective work and unity are superior to the isolated vision of our ego. It allows us to look to the side, see our neighbor, and understand that “together we are more” (25:00–25:20).
Combating Pride
The lecture emphasizes that imperfections, such as pride and the desire for control, generate suffering. Humility acts as the antidote that reduces this suffering, allowing harmonious coexistence instead of constant friction (54:11–55:58).
HUMILITY AS AN ESSENTIAL TOOL FOR FORGIVENESS
Recognition of Our Own Imperfection
When we understand that we are also “porcupines,” according to the metaphor used by the lecturer, capable of hurting others just as much as we are hurt, we cease to place ourselves in a position of superiority or victimhood (51:39–52:40).
Overcoming Judgment
Humility helps us realize that the other person may be acting from his or her own limitations and spiritual ignorance, just as we ourselves have acted in the past.
Instead of focusing on hurt, humility invites us to understand that we are all engaged in a process of learning together (44:26–45:17).
Harmonious Coexistence
Forgiveness, sustained by humility, is the only mechanism that allows peaceful coexistence in a world where we are inevitably imperfect.
Without forgiveness, relationships become constant sources of suffering because of the friction caused by our conduct (53:03–53:31; 55:44–55:58).
Focus on the Common Good
Humility removes us from the center of our own attention, allowing us to seek reconciliation and the well-being of the collective instead of demanding that the world bend to our preferences or personal vengeance (48:31–49:57).
HOW TO PRACTICE FORGIVENESS IN DAILY LIFE
Recognize the Condition of Being a “Porcupine”
Understand that we are all in a world of expiation and trials where, often because of inexperience or imperfections—our “quills”—we end up hurting one another without conscious malicious intent.
Recognizing that you also hurt others helps you have more patience with those who hurt you (51:39–52:40; 53:03–53:21).
Do Not Judge Using Old Photographs
The lecturer emphasizes that we often keep a negative “photograph” of someone based on a past mistake.
We must remember that people change and that, often, your adversary is reacting to a version of you that no longer exists. Focus on the present and on your neighbor’s potential for change (44:26–45:17).
Practice Reconciliation: Walk the Second Mile
If someone causes you difficulty, instead of merely reacting, seek to go further, as Jesus taught.
This means offering something positive where a negative reaction was expected, transforming coexistence and breaking the cycle of mutual wounds (43:06–44:02).
Accept Imperfection
Forgiveness is the only mechanism that allows imperfect people to coexist.
Understanding that suffering comes from our lack of moral progress makes it easier to forgive, because hurt ceases to be the focus and gives way to the educational understanding of spiritual learning (53:24–53:51; 55:32–55:58).
HOW CAN WE CORRECT WITHOUT MOVING AWAY FROM GOODNESS?
According to the lecture, correction without moving away from goodness is possible when we understand that divine justice is guided by love and mercy (7:04–7:07).
Educational Purpose
Just as in the blissful worlds, where goodness educates and corrects without abandoning the path of goodness, our correction must always seek the learning and improvement of the consciousness of the person who erred, and not punishment or vengeance (7:14–7:26; 8:34–8:46).
Overcoming Vengeance
We must avoid human justice when it is based on retaliation.
True correction takes place when, instead of hurting, we help our neighbor understand the error, maintaining the focus on regeneration and not on the destruction of the individual (6:51–7:35).
Reconciliation
The practice of the “second mile” teaches that, even when someone causes us difficulty, the response must be based on goodness and the offering of good fruits, allowing the adversary to experience a new form of relationship (43:06–45:35).
In summary, correcting without moving away from goodness requires replacing pride and the need for control with patience and the recognition that we are all engaged in a collective process of evolution (54:11–55:58).

Starting from the teaching “In my Father’s house are many mansions,” Haroldo goes through the progression of the worlds presented by Allan Kardec: primitive worlds, worlds of expiation and trials, worlds of regeneration, happy worlds, and heavenly worlds.
But this evolution does not happen only with the planet. It needs to happen within us.
Throughout the lecture, we understand that intelligence, feelings, relationships, and even our way of loving need to be regenerated.
Possessive love needs to be transformed into unconditional love; violence must give way to fraternity; and the justice we desire needs to come ever closer to divine justice, founded on love, mercy, and the education of the Spirit.
THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT AS A ROADMAP
Haroldo presents an especially powerful image: the Sermon on the Mount as a moral declaration of the heavenly worlds, bringing to Earth principles lived by Spirits who have already reached higher levels of evolution.
Humility, reconciliation, forgiveness, and respect for others then cease to be merely beautiful religious recommendations. They become concrete indications of the path we need to follow.
And Jesus is presented as our model and guide, the one who knows the destination and offers us the direction.
THE SPIRITUAL “GPS”
In one of the most striking metaphors of the lecture, Haroldo compares spiritual teachings to a GPS.
Haroldo Dutra Dias uses the GPS metaphor to explain how spiritual teachings and Jesus’ counsels function as a guide for our evolution, between the moments (40:03 - 42:37) and also at the end of the lecture (57:03 - 58:32).
In this analogy:
The GPS “recalculating”: It represents our stubbornness in following paths contrary to the guidance of spirituality. Even when we receive the correct route, we often insist on making our own choices through free will (40:03 - 41:00).
The persistence of the guide: Just like a modern and precise GPS, Jesus provides us with the ideal route, but the “device” (our consciousness) frequently ignores the directions, which requires spirituality to be constantly recalculating the route to bring us back to the destination (41:39 - 42:37).
Individual responsibility: The lecturer emphasizes that, now that we know the path (the “quantum GPS”), we no longer have excuses for going in the wrong direction, because the final destination—the heavenly worlds—has already been indicated to us (57:46 - 58:32).
We receive guidance, we make choices through free will and, many times, we follow precisely in the opposite direction. Then spirituality needs to “recalculate the route” once again.
How many times are we repeating the same paths?
How many painful experiences could be transformed if we finally accepted a new direction?
