GOD WILL STRAIGHTEN OUT YOUR LIFE — ISAIAH 45 - LUKE 13:10–13 PRAYER FOR THE FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER 2026 Bishop Bruno Leonardo

 PRAYER OF THE DAY

 BISHOP BRUNO LEONARDO

GOD WILL STRAIGHTEN OUT YOUR LIFE — PRAYER FOR THE FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER 2026

October 1, 2026

"God will straighten out your life."

Bishop Bruno Leonardo's prayer for this first day of October brings a message of faith, restoration, liberation, and hope . The central theme of the sermon is the certainty that there are situations that human beings cannot fix alone, but that can be transformed by the action of God.

This message finds its central image in the bent-over woman of Luke 13:10–13 and is related, during preaching, to the promise of Isaiah 45 , especially Isaiah 45:2: God goes before you, removes obstacles, and straightens crooked paths.

The video description itself adds Matthew 21:22 , associating prayer with faith:

"And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

God will straighten out your life.

Right at the beginning of the video, Bishop Bruno Leonardo declares:

“God will straighten out your life.”
(0:55–1:17)

It's not just about solving an isolated problem. The expression "straighten out" becomes, throughout the message, a metaphor for restoring different dimensions of existence: health, family, emotional life, financial situation, interrupted paths, and circumstances that, humanly speaking, seem to have no solution.

The biblical idea of God preparing and straightening paths appears particularly clearly in Isaiah 45:2 .

But before reaching Isaiah, the preaching finds its main foundation in an extraordinary passage from the Gospel of Luke: the story of a woman who, after eighteen years of being bent over, met Jesus.

The Woman Who Could Not Straighten Up — Luke 13:10–13

Between 5:56 and 8:02 , Bishop Bruno uses Luke 13:10–13 as the basis for his reflection .

The passage recounts Jesus' encounter with a woman who had been suffering for eighteen years . She was bent over and unable to straighten up.

Luke 13:10–13 — Almeida Revised and Corrected (ARC)

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years; and she was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up.

12 When Jesus saw her, he called her to him and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.

13 Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

There is a particularly significant aspect to this narrative:

Jesus sees the woman before she makes any request of him, as recorded by the evangelist.

He sees her.

He calls her.

He announces his liberation.

He lays his hands on her.

And she straightens up.

The age of eighteen is also essential for understanding the power of transition. The prolonged period of suffering did not mean that the situation was permanent.

This is precisely where the central message of the preaching comes from: what a person has been unable to change through their own efforts for a long time is not, therefore, necessarily condemned to remain the same forever.

"IT COULD NOT STRAIGHTEN UP IN ANY WAY"

This detail about Lucas is crucial for the interpretation presented in the video.

The woman wasn't simply hunched over.

The text states that she:

"He could not straighten up at all."

And, a few verses later, the exact opposite occurs:

"And immediately he straightened up and glorified God."

There is, therefore, an extraordinarily strong textual correspondence between the problem presented and the action of Jesus.

She couldn't straighten up.

Jesus straightens her out.

Bishop Bruno uses this condition to represent situations that exceed human capacity for resolution. In his religious interpretation, certain difficulties can reach physical, emotional, or spiritual dimensions in which the person can no longer find a way out on their own.

It is at this point that the narrative shifts from human helplessness to divine intervention.

Therefore, the phrase:

"God will straighten out your life."

It takes on a much deeper meaning when placed alongside Luke 13.

THE POWER OF THE SUPERNATURAL

Between approximately 6:15 and 7:42 , the Bishop draws attention to the nature of that woman's suffering.

Lucas states that she had been possessed by a "spirit of infirmity" for eighteen years.

Based on this passage, the Bishop explains that there are situations in life that, within the spiritual understanding presented in his preaching, cannot be resolved solely by human forces.

The message isn't simply about a woman who was physically hunched over.

In the reflection presented, the woman also becomes an image of existential situations that remain bent over, trapped, blocked, or oppressed .

And it is precisely in these areas that prayer calls for God's intervention.

THE PROVIDENCE OF JESUS

Between 7:46 and 8:02 , the decisive moment of the passage arrives.

Jesus does not ignore that woman.

Lucas says:

"And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him..."

Then he declares:

"Woman, you are freed from your infirmity."

And finally:

"And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and glorified God."

The sequence is significant:

Jesus sees.

Jesus calls.

Jesus sets free.

Jesus plays.

The woman straightens up.

And she glorifies God.

ISAIAH 45 — GOD GOES BEFORE HIM AND STRAIGHTENS THE CROOKED PATHS

The message goes on to relate the restoration of women to the promise found in Isaiah 45 (8:29–9:06) .

The verse directly related to the idea of straightening the paths is Isaiah 45:2 .

Isaiah 45:2 — Almeida Revised and Corrected (ARC)

2 I will go before you and make the crooked paths straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron.

The image is powerful.

God doesn't just accompany the one who walks. He goes before them.

The text speaks of winding paths, bronze doors, and iron bolts—images of obstacles that seem to impede passage.

The following expression is particularly significant:

"I will straighten the crooked paths"

Because it establishes a direct connection with Lucas's wife.

Read together, the two passages form a thematic unit:

In Luke, Jesus straightens out the person who couldn't straighten themselves; in Isaiah, God goes ahead and straightens the path himself.

The person is restored.

And the path before her is open.

THE PURPOSE OF THE SEVEN DAYS

Between 3:05 and 5:54 , Bishop Bruno presents a purpose for the first seven days of the month:

"Blessed Hands, Protected Family, and Multiplied Blessings."

According to the explanation presented in the video, it is a seven-day devotional that begins on the first day of the month. The Bishop also speaks about an offering of intercession—R$7.00 on the first day and amounts related to intercession for family members on the following days—within the religious practice he presents to the participants.

It is important to distinguish between the two dimensions of the message.

Luke 13 and Isaiah 45 are the biblical texts used as the foundation for the sermon.

The specific dynamics of the seven-day purpose and the offerings correspond to the religious practice presented by Bishop Bruno in the video.

TESTIMONY AND PRAYER

Between approximately 9:54 and 11:13 , the video presents a testimony of a victory achieved after participating in previous initiatives.

Then, between 11:16 and 13:54 , an intense moment of prayer takes place.

The Bishop calls for the restoration of different areas of the lives of the faithful, including:

financial life, love life, family and health.

This entire prayer remains linked to the initial image of Luke's wife:

That which is bent may be straightened;

That which is paralyzed may begin to walk again;

That which is blocked may find a way;

And that God may intervene precisely in the area of life that the person, alone, cannot straighten out.

"And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

There is also a third biblical passage directly associated with the video.

The description displayed in the publication itself shows Matthew 21:22 .

Matthew 21:22 — Almeida Revised and Corrected (ARC)

22 And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

This passage completes the spiritual structure of the message.

Lucas presents a situation that humans are unable to rectify .

Isaiah presents God going before us and straightening the crooked paths .

Matthew presents prayer accompanied by faith .

It is in this religious sense that the statement gains strength:

I believe.
I receive.
I take possession.

This is a declaration of faith and trust in divine providence.

The Act of Faith of the Hands

At the end, between approximately 14:07 and 14:48 , the Bishop invites viewers to send a photo of the palm of their hand that they use to write to his Instagram account.

The gesture is presented as a symbolic act of faith related to the purpose of:

"Blessed Hands."

There is also a particularly significant connection with the passage itself chosen for the sermon.

Luke 13:13 says:

"And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and glorified God."

Hands, therefore, are also present at the culminating moment of the biblical narrative that underpins the message of that day.

MY PRAYER ON THIS FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER

Today I also make this message my prayer.

Lord have mercy on us !

Help You, and me too!

God will straighten out our lives.

I believe, I receive, I take possession.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Marcia Almeida

I pray that God is present where there is suffering.

May it give strength where there is weakness.

Restore what needs to be restored.

May God protect Scott Erik Stafne and Larry Stauffer.

May He grant them health, strength, and peace.

May it open the paths that need to be opened.

Break down the barriers that need to be broken.

May he straighten the crooked paths.

And may He also take care of me and all those for whom we are praying.

The woman described by Luke remained bent over for eighteen years .

But eighteen years of suffering did not prevent the day from finally straightening out.

Therefore, I begin this first day of October with faith:

God will straighten out our lives.

I believe.

I receive it.

I take possession.

In the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

SUMMARY of the PRAYER by YOUTUBE AI

In this video, Bishop Bruno Leonardo begins the first day of October with a message of faith and a prayer chain, declaring that God will straighten out the lives of his listeners ( 0:55 - 1:17 ).

Key points of the video:

Prophetic Purpose: The bishop explains a 7-day purpose (beginning on the 1st of each month) focused on "blessed hands, protected family, and multiplied blessings," where the faithful present an offering of intercession ( 3:05 - 5:54 ).

Word of Reflection: He ministers on the passage from Luke 13: 10-13 , which recounts Jesus' miracle of healing a woman who had suffered for 18 years with a "spirit of infirmity" and could not straighten up ( 5:56 - 8:02 ).

The passage from Luke 13:10-13 is used by the bishop as a message of liberation and divine restoration (5:56).

The central meaning highlighted is:

The Power of the Supernatural: The woman had suffered for 18 years due to a "spirit of infirmity" that kept her bent over, preventing her from straightening up on her own (6:15 - 7:42).

The bishop explains that there are situations in life (whether physical, emotional, or spiritual) that are spiritual problems that human beings cannot solve alone, depending on God's intervention.

The Providence of Jesus: Just as Jesus saw, called, and freed the woman by laying his hands on her (7:46 - 8:02), the bishop prophesies that God will enter the "bent" or blocked areas of the lives of the faithful to straighten the crooked paths and bring victory, as also mentioned in Isaiah 45 (8:29 - 9:06).

In short, the passage serves as a basis for the prayer that God has the power to restore what is blocked or oppressed, regardless of how long the problem persists.

Prayer and Testimony: The video includes an account of a miracle achieved through previous intentions ( 9:54 - 11:13 ), followed by a powerful prayer calling for the restoration of various areas of life, such as financial, emotional, family and health ( 11:16 - 13:54 ).

Act of Faith: At the end, the bishop invites viewers to send a photo of the palm of the hand they use to write to his Instagram , prophesying a specific blessing for that hand during the month ( 14:07 - 14:48 ).
