✨ A Mother’s Day Tribute to the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Savior and Mother of All Peoples


On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the gift of life and the Blessed Virgin Mary, the supreme example of love, surrender, faithfulness, and maternal devotion.

Happy Mother's Day 


May the love and strength of Mary inspire every maternal heart, and the hearts of fathers, sons, daughters, parents, grandparents, and every person in this world. Amen.

👨‍👧‍👦 A Blessing for Fathers and for the Men Who Are Both Father and Mother


On this Mother’s Day, we also honor fathers — the men who protect, provide, teach, comfort, pray, and remain steadfast beside their children and families.

And with special love, we honor the men who, through circumstance, sacrifice, widowhood, abandonment, or duty, have carried alone the double mission of being both father and mother to their children: men who have fed, clothed, consoled, defended, educated, and loved with the strength of a father and the tenderness of a mother.

May Saint Joseph, the just man chosen to guard Mary and Jesus, bless all fathers with courage, wisdom, patience, fidelity, and peace.

May Mary, Mother of All Peoples, cover with her sacred mantle every father, every mother, every child, every grandparent, and every family — especially those who carry heavy burdens in silence.

🕊️ A Blessing from the Mothers Who Live in Eternal Life for Their Loved Ones Who Still Live Here


On this Mother’s Day, we also remember with love the mothers who have already entered eternal life and who remain forever alive in the hearts of those who love them.

May God allow the love of the mothers who now live in His light to reach their children, husbands, fathers, mothers, grandchildren, and all their loved ones who still walk upon this earth.

May their love and memory bring comfort, their love bring strength, and the certainty of eternal life bring peace to every heart that misses them.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of All Peoples, embrace in Heaven every mother who has gone before us and cover with her sacred mantle all those who remain here, until the day of the blessed reunion in the presence of God.


For those whose mothers have already returned to the **Spiritual Realm**, we remind you that love is a bond that death does not undo. 

According to  Spiritist doctrine,  nobody dies, death is merely a transition to the real life.

"May the love of the mothers who today live in the light of God reach their children and grandchildren here on Earth. 

May the longing  be transformed into a vibration of peace and, in moments of silence, may each child feel the invisible embrace of the one who continues to watch over them in the spiritual plane."


May the mothers who live in eternal life bless, protect, and lovingly watch over their beloved ones. Amen.

✨ Mary -  The Mother of all Nations 


The Promise of the Savior


Long before the birth of Jesus, the prophets announced the coming of the Redeemer:

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Isaiah 7:14

“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah… from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.”

Micah 5:2

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

In Mary, the ancient promise began to be fulfilled. Through her humble “yes,” the Savior entered history.

✨ A Yes That Changed the World


It all began with a heavenly invitation. The angel Gabriel greeted the woman chosen to become the Mother of the Savior:

“Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you!”

Luke 1:28

And Mary answered with perfect faith and surrender:

“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.”

Luke 1:38

May every mother today feel the joy of God’s presence in her journey and recognize the grace contained in the gift of generating, protecting, and caring for life.

🌟 The Message of the Angels on the Night of the Savior’s Birth


Following Mary’s obedience, on the holy night when Jesus was born, heaven proclaimed peace to the earth:

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Luke 2:14

May this heavenly peace fill the homes and hearts of all mothers, fathers, children, and families.

✝️ The Love That Extends to All Humanity


Even in the hour of supreme suffering, at the foot of the Cross, Jesus entrusted His Mother to humanity:

“Woman, behold your son… Behold your mother.”

John 19:26–27

At that moment, Mary’s maternal embrace opened to all peoples.
She is not only the Mother of Jesus, but also the spiritual Mother given by Him to all humanity.

🌎 Mary Honored Beyond Christianity


Mary is uniquely honored not only in Christianity, but also in Islam. The Qur’an proclaims:

“O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.”

Qur’an 3:42

And it announces the birth of Jesus:

“O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a Word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary…”

Qur’an 3:45

Thus, across the great Abrahamic traditions, Mary is recognized as a woman specially chosen by God, and Jesus is proclaimed as the promised Messiah.

The prophecies about Mary. 


The prophets of Israel directly announced the coming of the Savior and the Virgin who would give birth;

in the ancient East there also appears the expectation of a savior miraculously born of a virgin, as in Zoroastrianism, with the Saoshyant, although this is not a prophecy about Mary, but a very ancient eastern religious parallel;

🇧🇷 Our Lady of Aparecida — The Mother Who Rose from the Waters to Embrace Brazil


In Brazil, devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is expressed with particular love in Our Lady of Aparecida, the dark image of the Immaculate Conception found by three poor fishermen in the Paraíba River in 1717. In 1930, Pope Pius XI declared Our Lady of Aparecida the Patroness of Brazil. 

For the Brazilian people, Nossa Senhora Aparecida is a maternal presence of protection, mercy, hope, and national unity under the mantle of the Mother of God.

🇲🇽 Our Lady of Guadalupe — The Mother Who Came to the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas


In Mexico, devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary shines with extraordinary force in Our Lady of Guadalupe, who appeared in 1531 to the Indigenous convert Saint Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac. 

She introduced herself as the Mother of God and the mother of all humanity, asking for a shrine where she could show her love, compassion, help, and protection to all people. 

Venerated as the Patroness of Mexico and beloved throughout the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe became one of the most powerful maternal signs of Mary’s closeness to the peoples of the New World.

🇫🇷 Our Lady of Lourdes — The Immaculate Mother Who Came with Healing and Mercy


In Lourdes, France, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous eighteen times beginning on February 11, 1858. 

At Lourdes, Mary revealed herself as “the Immaculate Conception”, and the shrine became throughout the world a place of prayer, conversion, consolation, healing, and tenderness toward the sick and suffering.

🇵🇹 Our Lady of Fátima — The Mother Who Called the World to Prayer, Conversion, and Peace


In Fátima, Portugal, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in 1917 to the shepherd children Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta. Her message spread throughout the world as a call to prayer, conversion, penance, and peace. 

The Church observes May 13 as the memorial of Our Lady of Fátima, and the apparitions have been endorsed by various Popes.

🇯🇵 Our Lady of Akita — The Mother Who Called Her Children to Prayer and Penance


In Akita, Japan, the events associated with Our Lady of Akita began in 1973 and were linked to messages of prayer, penance, and devotion to the Rosary. In 1984, Bishop John Shojiro Ito of Niigata authorized the veneration of the Holy Mother of Akita within his diocese. Her maternal appeal from Japan remains a solemn call to prayer, fidelity, and conversion.

🇧🇦 Our Lady of Medjugorje — The Queen of Peace Who Calls Her Children to Conversion


In Medjugorje, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the spiritual experience connected with the title “Queen of Peace” has drawn millions of pilgrims since 1981. In 2024, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, with the approval of Pope Francis, granted a nihil obstat to the devotion, recognizing the abundant spiritual fruits connected with Medjugorje, while not declaring the supernatural character of the alleged apparitions. The messages associated with Medjugorje are centered on peace, prayer, conversion, fasting, reconciliation, and renewed faith in God.

The Great Mother’s  Day 


In India, Africa, among Aboriginal Australian peoples, and among the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, there are traditions that venerate the Great Mother, the Mother of Life, the Mother of all, showing how all humanity preserved the spiritual intuition of sacred motherhood — which, for the Christian faith, finds its fullness in Mary, Mother of the Redeemer and Mother of All Peoples.

 Zoroastrianism describes the Saoshyant as the final savior, miraculously conceived by a maiden; 

Hinduism calls Devi the “Universal Mother of all”; among the Akan of West Africa, Asase Yaa is the great earth mother, linked to fertility and the sustenance of life;

 in the Yoruba tradition, Yemonja is celebrated as “the metaphysical mother of all orisha”;

🌍 The Ancient Expectation of the Virgin Mother and the Sacred Memory of the Great Mother


The mystery of the Mother and the Savior was not foreign to the spiritual memory of humanity.

In the ancient East, Zoroastrian tradition preserved the expectation of the Saoshyant, the final savior of the world, who would be miraculously conceived by a maiden and would bring the final defeat of evil. This is not a prophecy about Mary herself, but it is a striking ancient eastern parallel to the expectation of a virgin-born redeemer.

Among the Akan peoples of West Africa, Asase Yaa is revered as the great female spirit of the earth, motherly because the earth brings forth life and sustains all human beings. In the Yoruba tradition, Yemonja is celebrated as the giver of life and as the metaphysical mother of all the orishas.

Among Aboriginal Peoples of Australia


In Aboriginal Australian traditions, Gunabibi, also called Kunapipi, is remembered as a primordial maternal figure, the First Mother, associated with birth, emergence, and the creative origins of humanity.

These ancient traditions do not replace the Gospel; rather, they reveal how deeply the human soul has longed for the sacred Mother, the bearer of life, and the victory of good over evil.

For Christians, that longing reaches its fullness in Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, the promised Redeemer, and Mother of All Peoples.

And I would add immediately afterward the Islamic passage, because it does in fact praise Mary and recognize Jesus as the Messiah:

Among the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas

Among the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, reverence for the sacred Mother also appears in many forms. 

In the Andes, Pachamama is honored as Mother Earth, the maternal source of fertility, nourishment, and the protection of crops. In many Native American mythologies of North America, Mother Earth and Mother Corn appear as creative and life-giving powers; among the Pawnee,

 Evening Star is remembered as the Mother of all Pawnees, who gave corn to the people. 

These traditions likewise preserve the sacred memory of motherhood as the source, sustainer, and protector of life.

On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the gift of life and the One who is the supreme example of love, surrender, and fidelity.

At that moment, Mary's embrace opened to humanity. 

She is not only the mother of one, but the mother of us all.

Mary is the Mother of all nations, the safe harbor where all children, of all languages and places, find shelter. Her message is of unity, peace, and constant intercession for each of her children.
